About three hours outside of Los Angeles, lies the beautiful Pismo Beach sand dunes, and they were the perfect backdrop for this bride who wanted to include an additional shoot within her wedding weekend.
Bridal portraits or a day-after-shoot give the opportunity to take advantage of another location that you couldn’t visit on the wedding day, and is usually somewhere that is important to the couple.
You can find a beautiful setting almost anywhere but finding a place that has meaning to you will add another layer of depth to the photos.
You only get married once and you can never have too many photos from one of the most spectacular and special weekends of your life. Taking a day trip before or after your wedding allows for quality time between you and your partner.
The sky on this day was a soft blue hue and created the perfect amount of contrast between the texture of the sand, while the coloring of the dunes complimented the light green floral detail on the Monique Lhuillier “Blossom” gown the bride wore.
A bridal portrait session or day-after-shoot also allows for you to wear something more edgy or fun that you weren’t able to be photographed in or include within the wedding day timeline. Maya decided to go for two more fun and editorial looks with a Cult Gaia two piece set and high-low dress featuring white feathers.
The Pismo Beach sand dunes are right off the side of the road and free to visit. Through this shoot it is clear that even simple locations can be impressive and beautiful while also filled with meaning.
Whether you’re looking for an adventurous elopement in a special location or if you’re planning an elaborate celebration with a day-after shoot in a secondary location, we would love to join you and capture your special moments. Inquire today!
